TRIPIL Services - Home and Community Based Services
PDA Waiver Program
The Pennsylvania Department of Aging (PDA) Waiver Program offers an
alternative to nursing home care for eligible residents of Fayette,
Greene and Washington Counties.
The program allows participants to receive home and community-based
services in their home or appropriate community settings. Consumers
select their service providers from a list of local agencies and
companies certified by the Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare to
ensure that they meet Medicaid standards. The consumer may also choose to
manage certain aspects of their home and community-based care.
All of the following eligibility requirements must be met to participate in this program:
- Consumers must be 60 years-of-age or older.
- Consumers must require the level of care provided by a nursing facility.
- Consumers must choose community-based services rather than a nursing facility.
- Consumers must meet Medicaid financial eligibility requirements.
The application process begins with a thorough assessment. When eligibility
is determined, a care manager works with each consumer and their family to
formulate a plan of care.
While there aren't specific limits to the number of services you may receive,
there are limits to the amount of service. However, depending on your needs,
you may be eligible for more than $3,000 in services per month.
