TRIPIL ATTENDS FAMILY FUN FEST

On Saturday, June 18, 2011,TRIPIL staff and consumers attended the Fayette County Human Service Council Family Fun Fest at the fairgrounds in Fayette County. Over 2500 guests attended this free event that offered entertainment and activities to children, as well as the chance for human services agencies to spread the word about the services they provide to the community. At this event TRIPIL spoke with over 500 guests, providing them with information regarding the core services, such as nursing home transition and skills training.

TRIPIL’s community member Angie Yauger and staff member Lisa Faieta assisted in spreading the word and sharing their experiences about TRIPIL’s services. Lisa currently provides peer support and assists in community integration activities with Angie, who has been an independent living advocate and waiver services recipient for many years. Community member and staff involvement provided for a successful day of networking to help educate many on TRIPIL’s services.
